Bering Glacier base camp continuous station 6/1/07. When I opened up the box, the GPS was dead and the batteries drained. The cause was a dead solar panel charge controller.
Bering Glacier base camp continuous station 6/1/07. DEAD Charge controller! I removed the GPS from the load terminals, connected directly to the batteries, and charged the batteries with a generator.
